SUCHO Meme Wall Ghost of Kyiv
In the days immediately following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, rumors began to appear about a fighter pilot nicknamed "The Ghost of Kyiv." This pilot was said to shoot down as many as 40 Russian attack jets during the defense of Kyiv. In the months after this original rumor, the Ukrainian Air Force Command has acknowledged that "The Ghost of Kyiv" was just a myth (link below). Memes about this figure were seen as morale boosters for Ukrainians during the very first stage of Russia's invasion.
