Kakhovka Dam

On June 6, 2023, the Kakhovka Dam in the Kherson Oblast was destroyed, leading to widespread flooding of towns and villages downstream. Russian military forces occupied and controlled the dam at this point, and many commentators suspect that Russian forces intentionally sabotaged the dam and caused its destruction.
