Spider's Web operation

Operation Spider's Web (Ukr. Операція «Павутина») was a daring Ukrainian drone attack on Russian strategic long-range warplanes stationed in five Russian air bases in various regions of Russia on June 1, 2025, on the eve of peace talks in Istanbul. The drones were covertly deployed from trucks driven by apparently unsuspecting drivers. The memes celebrate the wit and the bravery of the Security Service of Ukraine, represented by its chief Vasyl Maliuk and mock the surprise it caused among Russians, particularly the truck drivers. They also ridicule the statement by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov that the warplanes were not destroyed by the attack but only damaged and they will be restored. The memes show primitive ways to repair a warplane (for example, using a duct tape). In the following week there were reports of Russian grain wagons being used as carriers for Ukrainian drones, an operation nicknamed Spider’s Web-2. Some memes mentioning grain or grain wagons refer to that.
