SUCHO Meme Wall Dugina (Dariia)
Dariia Dugina was a Russian journalist and the daughter of far-right Russian politician Alexander Dugin (link to her Wikipedia page below). She was an active supporter of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In August 2022, Dugina was killed by a car bombing in Moscow. The U.S. believes that Ukraine coordinated the bombing, while an anti-Putin partisan group, the National Republican Army, has claimed responsibility. Memes about Dugina will invoke her death, especially alongside pro-Russian blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, who was killed in a bombing at a cafe in St. Petersburg in April 2023. Some memes will also point to conspiracy theories surrounding who perpetrated the bombing of Dugina’s car.
