Margolis (Katia)

Katia Margolis is a Russian journalist, writer, and artist. Margolis, who resides in Venice, Italy, is a vocal critic of Russians who in her view suffer from “imperialist thinking” and offer only superficial sympathy for Ukraine while emphasizing the struggles of "good Russians" facing emigration inconveniences or prosecution in Russia. She advocates that Russians who oppose the war should actively support the Ukrainian Armed Forces - a position that is seen as controversial by some Russian opposition groups due to the possibility of criminal prosecution inside Russia for such actions. Katia is known for organizing hate campaigns against Russian public intellectuals on Facebook with the help of her followers.
