Chmonia the Russian occupier

Chmonia is the name given to a Russian soldier who was captured in Horlivka, Donetsk. His real name is Andriy Riazantsev, and he worked as an educator in occupied Donetsk before mobilizing for the war. His image has been actively used in memes on Twitter and TikTok, and his ill-fitting clothing has led to jokes about the poor state of the Russian military. His photo is often placed in contrast to a much better equipped soldier with such labels as “Best Russian soldier vs. Ukrainian cash courier.”
