Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession (Soviet film)
Templates from this group use stills from the 1973 film Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession (Иван Васильевич меняет профессию) based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s play Ivan Vasil’evich. A Moscow engineer creates a time machine, malfunctions and brings Ivan IV (the Terrible) to the engineer’s apartment while transporting the tsar’s doppelganger building manager to 16th century Moscow. The stills feature an array of colorful characters, often with their memetic lines (e. G., Ivan IV exclaiming “What a beauty!”, or an actress on the phone bragging: “You are going to die!”, or an opportunistic burglary victim inflating his losses, etc.)
