Medvedchuk detained

This photo shows Viktor Medvedchuk, an influential pro-Russian Ukrainian politician who went into hiding early in the war in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky posted this photo to his Telegram channel showing Medvedchuk under arrest after violating the terms of his house arrest as he was awaiting trial for treason. President Zelensky then offered Medvedchuk in exchange for prisoners of war in Russia. Memes involving this image often replace Medvedchuk’s face with that of other people who are either pro-Russia (such as Russian president Vladimir Putin) or otherwise opposed to Ukraine’s success in the war (such as Elon Musk).
