The template uses screenshots from a viral video posted as early as 2013. An elderly Russian lady appears to be vehemently opposing installation of internet in the apartment house she lives in, pronouncing "We don't give a fuck about that internet!". The memes featuring this template became especially popular since 2024, as they illustrate the memetic idea that Russians don't care about the benefits of civilization and are unconcerned by the war destruction on their own territory or the information censorship imposed by their own government.
