SUCHO Meme Wall Russian plane down
Many memes celebrate downing or accidental crashing of Russian military planes. Memes mentioning "Sushka" (a "little SU" military plane) refer to incidents at various points since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine when SU planes have crashed into buildings in Russia. Memes about these crashes express happiness about such crashes, primarily because the planes would otherwise be sent to inflict destruction in Ukraine. In December 2023 three of these planes were reportedly destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Force, which caused a proliferation of celebratory memes. Another wave of such memes came when Russian military aircraft DRLO A-50 and Il-22 bomber were downed by Ukrainian Armed Forces on January 14, 2024.
