Russophobia

Russophobia is used to denote general dislike or hatred of Russians. Memes invoking Russophobia often imply that Russians themselves are responsible for Russophobia. The invocation of Russophobia is connected to rhetoric in Russian media and politics about a worldwide conspiracy against Russia and its people. On the Ukrainian side, invocations of Russophobia have become something of a badge of honor, as though it is a central characteristic of the Ukrainian national character. Memes of this nature will often question whether one’s Russophobia is big enough, or they will portray one’s Russophobia as a mark of good citizenship.
