This image purportedly shows hard-line Russian nationalist and war supporter Igor Girkin without his signature mustache, and there were uncorroborated reports that he shaved his mustache in order to avoid recognition. Memes of Girkin sans mustache are often used to imply emasculation, showing him as a sex worker, young woman, or with long hair and makeup.
